Site Manager (Food Distribution)

Position Overview

The Site Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned site, ensuring programs and services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the organization's mission. This role oversees staff and volunteers, manages site logistics, maintains compliance with organizational policies, and serves as the primary point of contact for participants, community partners, and visitors.

This position reports directly to the CEO.
Primary Work Location: West Los Angeles (In-Person)

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Site Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the site according to established procedure; ensure site is clean, safe, organized, and welcoming; monitor inventory and coordinate supply orders; ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational.

  • Staff Supervision: Supervise, coach, and support frontline staff and volunteers; develop staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage; conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training; monitor employee performance and address operational concerns; foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment.

  • Program Management: Ensure programs are implemented according to organizational standards; monitor service delivery and participant satisfaction; track program outcomes and maintain accurate records; identify operational challenges and implement solutions.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations; maintain confidentiality of participant information; conduct regular safety inspections; report incidents, accidents, or concerns promptly; ensure emergency procedures are understood and followed.

  • Community Relations: Serve as the primary contact for participants, vendors, community partners, and visitors; build positive relationships with local organizations and stakeholders; address participant concerns professionally and promptly.

  • Administrative Support: Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation; track attendance, services provided, and other operational metrics; assist with budgeting and expense monitoring; participate in organizational meetings and planning activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

  • Experience supervising employees and volunteers.

  • Experience overseeing daily operations in a nonprofit, community-based organization, or similar setting (preferred).

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and de-escalation.

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Ability to work weekends (e.g., Sundays) for distribution events.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Experience volunteering at our food distribution drive (preferred).

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Valid CA Driver’s License

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks including but not limited to, lifting 40 lbs, bending, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. This role does not provide Visa Sponsorship.

Salary & Benefits

  • Part-Time: 15 - 25 hours per week

  • Pay Rate: $20-$23 per hour
