Sage Local Market supports Good Karma Gardens
On April 11th, Laine Clary and Ricky Rietjens launched their first Sage Market with a Spring Social. Sage Market is a curated monthly gathering that brings together small farms, local vendors, and community organizations to celebrate and support Los Angeles’ local food system. They invited our Good Karma Gardens team to be their sponsored non-profit. We spent the afternoon handing out organic plant starts and connecting with community members. A shoutout to our talented fellow, Nick, for handmaking upcycled bags to be raffled off and showing that sustainable fashion fits just right with Sage Market and Nourish LA’s missions. Through hands-on activities, educational demos, and outdoor gatherings, Sage Market created an accessible space where people can reconnect with community, nature, and their food.
Thank you Lainie & Ricky for your vision to cultivate community and to Cerca Cultivation for donating the plants to make this event possible. We look forward to participating in many more of your upcoming markets!
