Community Event “Del Rey Earth Day”

On Saturday, April 18th, the Del Rey Neighborhood Council, Del Rey Green Committee, and Traci Parks’ office transformed Marina Del Rey Middle School into a vibrant Earth Day celebration. The day was filled with live music, community resources, and a tree and mulch giveaway.

As one of a dozen featured local resources, Nourish LA was proud to provide education on food recovery, community volunteering, and how to become a Good Karma Garden host. We had a wonderful time connecting with the Del Rey community and meeting neighbors from the Pacific Palisades to discuss soil and replanting for their new homes. Between handing out fresh oranges and coloring native plant postcards with guests of all ages, it was a truly inspiring day of outreach.

A huge thank you to theGreen Committee for inviting us! We look forward to being an ongoing resource for our neighbors in Del Rey.
