At Nourish LA, our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy food, regardless of who they are or who they love. For us, food justice and LGBTQ+ equality go hand in hand.
Inclusivity at the Core of Food Justice
True community nourishment requires building spaces where every single person feels safe, seen, and respected. Historically, LGBTQ+ individuals—particularly youth and people of color—have faced disproportionate challenges when it comes to housing and food security.
Mutual aid projects, urban gardening initiatives, and community fridges have long been a vital lifeline within queer history, proving that when the system falls short, communities step up to care for one another. At our distribution sites, we are proud to foster an environment of radical hospitality, ensuring that dignity is served alongside every bag of fresh produce.

Volunteer with Pride: Join us at a Sunday distribution. It’s a wonderful space to meet neighbors, give back, and practice active community care.
