Good Karma Gardens had the opportunity to collaborate with UCLA Volunteer Center for their Annual Volunteer Day on September 26th. Volunteers from the Westside to the Eastside joined the GKG Crew at LA City College to revitalize their on-campus garden.
Everyone took part in rebuilding the compost pile, weeding overgrown garden beds amending the soil with nutrient-dense compost, and planting a whole bunch of food! We were also lucky enough to have a chef on site cooking up a delicious vegetarian meal!
Thank you to @UCLA for including us in community outreach and to @lacitycollege for hosting us, and look forward to seeing how the community space evolves going forward!
