Volunteer Opportunities (All Programs)
Position Overview
These behind-the-site roles are key to our weekly operations.
We are reaching out to our community for skilled volunteers to join our mission.
Primary Work Location: Los Angeles - Remote & In Person
Areas of Interest include the following:
Digital Marketing (i.e. Consultants, Google Ads/Analytics, Content Creators)
Marketing/Graphic Design (i.e. Print Media, Marketing decks
Photography
Public Relations/Community (i.e. local and national)
Real Estate/Property Management
Security (i.e. crowd management)
Social Media (i.e. Managers, Content Creators, Consultants)
Videography
Board of Directors’ Roles include the following:
Marketing
Treasurer
Additional Support
By providing behind-the-site support wherever it is needed most, these roles contribute to the successful delivery of Nourish LA's programs and mission.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience with non-profit organizations, food recovery, or community organizing (preferred but not required).
Experience volunteering at our food distribution drive and community events (preferred).
Ability to work weekends for food distribution and community events. (applicable for photography/videography/content creators)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple program areas.
Ability to follow established procedures while exercising sound judgment.
Ability to maintain organized workspaces and accurate records.
Proficiency with Google Workspace or the ability to quickly learn cloud-based technology tools.(preferred)
Reliable with a passion for sustainability and food justice.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and represent Nourish LA professionally.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks including but not limited to, lifting 40 lbs, bending, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. (applicable for security)
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Valid CA Driver’s License (preferred)
Must be eligible to work in the United States. These roles does not provide Visa SponsorshiExperience in volunteer coordination, food recovery, or community organizing (preferred).

Nourish LA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Our mission is to build local resilience by nourishing our neighbors through food recovery, urban agriculture, and community engagement.
