Community Event “Sustainability Fest”
Our founder, Natalie Flores, is a proud alumna of Santa Monica College (SMC) and its sustainability program. She continues to give back by supporting the college’s events and classes throughout the year. This year, in honor of Earth Day, the Eco-Action Club organized a week of activities culminating in the Sustainability Fest on Thursday, April 23rd. Both Natalie and the Nourish LA team were thrilled to participate by sharing insights on food programs, gardening, and local volunteer opportunities.
A special shout-out goes to our volunteers and fellows who staffed the table with us all day. Our volunteers were all SMC alumni, and our current fellows are students at the college—they did a fantastic job handing out fresh fruit and sharing their personal connections to Nourish LA with the student body.
Does your school host a Sustainability Fest or eco-friendly event?
We would love to bring Nourish LA, Good Karma Gardens, and Natalie Flores to your campus! Reach out to jessica@nourish.la to get started.
